Information on Sessions & Fees

  • Sessions

I offer virtual sessions via Bilateral Base, a secure online therapy platform which incorporates EMDR processing functions should we proceed with this at any point during our therapy.
My private practice runs on Tuesday evenings and Thursdays. Therapy is offered once weekly at a set time which becomes your personalised slot. Fortnightly sessions may also be available, please enquire. I offer short, medium and long-term therapy with adults, depending on therapeutic goals and needs.
Each session lasts up to 50-minutes, in line with the standard therapeutic hour.Double sessions can be arranged to accelerate processing in EMDR.
I ask each client who does therapy with me to read, sign, and return (by 24 hours prior to the first session) a ‘Therapy Agreement’, which sets out the terms and conditions of our therapy together so we can both work clearly and safely. Failure to return the signed agreement may result in loss of your therapy slot.

  • Fees

Self-Funding£130 per session. This is payable via BACS by 24 hours advance of the session. Please enquire about sliding scale / concession fee.
Reports are charged separately and charged by hourly rate.
InsuranceI am an approved health insurance provider and can accept clients funding through Bupa (UK only, not international), WPA, Healix, Aviva, Vitality, AXA.
Please note, clients funding through insurance are responsible for ensuring that fees are paid in full. In some instances, clients are required to pay an excess, or the insurer will only cover part of the session fees or a limited number of sessions, depending on the policy, so this will need to be checked in advance. Where the insurer fails to pay for any or all of the session fees, clients will be liable for payment of the shortfall — failure to settle this may lead to the therapy slot being released.

  • Cancellations

I understand on occasion you may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please give as much prior notice as possible.
Cancellations are charged at the full session rate unless 48 hours notice of the usual appointment time has been given.
Insurance funded clients are liable to cover the cost of any short-notice cancelled sessions, which usually are not covered by the insurer, and may impact the total number of sessions authorised.
